"The location is good, but that's about all I can praise here. First, this is not a place you want to stay if you travel with significant luggage (given the labyrinthine and narrow hallways) - but that was not the issue for me. Rather, the room environment was not comfortable as the room thermostat had no effect despite being on and claiming to register my setting changes. (And who has decided that a single heavy bed cover is good, rather than multiple layers of bedsheets?) But the main issue...

"We always stay at The Lodge when visiting Putney. The staff are always welcoming, the hotel spotlessly clean and we have always been able to park our car in the hotel car park. Highly recommended hotel. "

"It was really really noisy, we had someone outside revving their motorbike. Music was being played alot, could hear neighbours. Anytime someone closed a door the whole room shaked. Also was Makeup all over the bathroom door. "

Each room is a good size, The bathroom is lovely, but through the stay we noticed slight dirt and dust. Nothing that ruined the night itself though! The stay was a small sleepover arranged for my birthday (6 people) so the space was great for this! Our only wish was that there was a TV in the living room/kitchen. But this...

"Beautiful room, comfortable bed, big size compared to most accommodations. Responsive customer service, but miscommunication with the information provided by Expedia and the property. No room cleaning and change of bedding. The common area wasn't very clean either, but they always provided coffee, tea, milk and cereal. Silence most of the time, I had a long stay and only one day there was a problem with a smoker. The management solved the issue promptly and safely."
