"Thanks to Edvin and the rest of the front desk team. The hotel’s located in the center of a very busy and popular square. Numerous shops and restaurants available. We felt safe walking around. There was some concerns about being able to get transportation to the port for our cruise. We just had to walk a short distance down to the circle by the Colom statue. Be aware that there’s a €25 taxi surcharge added to get to the port. The prepaid breakfast was worth it."

"Very clean hotel and helpful and willing staff to assist. The breakfast was fantastic with fresh squeezed orange juice and menue on top of buffet meals. The only minor issue was WifI could be patchy that could easily be fixed."

"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Barcelona Universal! The room was clean and well maintained, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was excellent. Most attractions were within walking distance, and having a Metro stop right next to the hotel made getting around the city incredibly convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel!"
