I just got back to the US after staying for a week at the Miiro Borneta. I was very impressed by this boutique hotel. It looks like the pictures on Expedia -- including the tiny pool on their roof. I spent an afternoon journaling on the rooftop patio, and it was lovely. The location is great - not the center of the Gothic Quarter but an easy, level walk to it and other touristy things including the metro and bus stops. The staff was friendly but not obnoxious. There don't have a lot of folks working the front desk compared with other hotels, but they are all excellently trained, speak English, and are friendly. For example, one afternoon, I happened to be in the lobby when one of the front desk clerks noticed that a woman outside was juggling her luggage and bags and jogged out from behind the desk to go help her. The food was good and comparably priced with other nicer restaurants in the area. I was in their basic room - the "Classic" room. It was small, but the perfect size for just me. If I were travelling with one or more other folks, I'd recommend getting a bigger room.
