"The hotel was in a great location! We were able to walk to a small shopping center with restaurants and stores! The hotel staff were nice and polite. The room was great because it had a mini kitchen inside with a regular size fridge, a microwave, a stove, and a sink! The kitchen also had plates and silverware. "Check-in experience was great and the staff was friendly. Shower had the least amount of pressure we've ever experienced at a hotel of any sort. It also sprayed from all different angles, getting the bathroom floors wet. :( Although we tried to tighten the shower head, nothing seemed to help. Bedroom was spacious, clean, beds and pillows were comfortable. If we stayed again, I'd call ahead and make sure the shower in my room is going to be working better."

"The breakfast buffet could be ALOT better. It had very few options. However, the restaurant in the hotel does offer food to people staying at the hotel at a good price with a voucher. I believe a meal was $5. Rooms could use an upgrade but overall was an ok stay."

"We booked Surf Rider based on the strong reviews, especially the repeated mentions of great hospitality-but unfortunately, our experience didn't reflect that at all. The rooms are extremely small, and the noise from PCH is constant and very loud, making it difticult to relax or sleep. I asked if there was any possibility of moving to a quieter room, but the only option offered was to pay an additional $450-$1000, which felt unreasonable. We were also staying here to celebrate my wife’s birthday,...

"Very clean and quiet. My only complaint is the $20 parking fee. When I returned late that night there was no parking available and I had to park next door at Walmart. What did I pay $20 for if I ended up parking next door anyway. For $20 I should have a reserved spot. "

"I was overcharged by $70, and even until now, after I've sent 3 emails, still no reply."

"We only stayed for one night but the room was absolutely adorable, very much unlike the larger hotel chains and more quaint. The view was beautiful and I especially loved our patio balcony. Would definitely some back and recommend."
