"We do love this little motel in Cooke City! They are pet friendly which is lovely. I had forgotten there is no air conditioning and this was one of the days/nights that you needed at least a fan to sleep all night. Our Aussie begged to go sleep in the truck half way through the night as her fur is very warm. Other than that it is a wonderful jumping off point to the north side of Yellowstone Park and we will return again I am sure. The staff are so very kind and welcoming, as is Cooke City itself. Loved it!"
"This hotel is located in a very very small town. There isn’t a grocery store within an hour. However the hotel is clean and the staff was nice. There is definitely a language barrier, but I felt they were able to understand me and help me.
The biggest issue I had while there was the WiFi was not working. The manager connected me to I think their private WiFi bc the guest WiFi wasn’t working. But then as soon as I got to my room it wasn’t working again. After many attempts I gave up and connected to “lulus public hotspot”. And the tv only had one channel.
Other than that, there is no AC and the hotel is a bit outdated, but I just chalked it up to the vibe of the town. The rooms themselves were updated and clean.
They have a restaurant that is open only for lunch. It was delicious and very reasonably priced.
Overall we were happy with our stay and I would recommend this hotel."
"We showed up after 10pm but the office closed at 9pm but the owner was still waiting for us to arrive and she was so helpful. I cannot thank her kindness enough and the breakfast they made in the morning was amazing! Definitely a great place to stay when you’re in town!"
