"The property is quiet and integrated with nature and it's area surroundings. The lodge has a quaint, rustic feel, very much like a national park property. Has a craftsman and classic vibe to it, very warm and welcoming. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are simply appointed but clean and comfortable. Enjoyed private balcony to sir our and read or ocean gaze. Beautiful views. No TVs but the idea is to unwind, escape and enjoy nature and the beauty of the Tofino area. The Lodge public area is a nice area to sit, read, or play a card game while enjoying the Lodge's fresh baked, warm, complimentary cookies. At the restaurant at the Headland's Lodge, their fish chowder can't be beat. Breakfast is a simple European style with breads, pastries, cheese, deli meat, yogourt, etc. Don't expect a Dennys style full breakfast cause you won't get one, but that is not the style of what this Lodge is about (think European). Paths at the Lodge provide access to Middle Beach (like a private beach) or to the adjacent Tin wis (former Mackenzie Beach). Wifi service is weak but if you are here to unwind and getaway from it all, then it is not really an issue. This inn is for those that enjoy rustic charm and character, and a deep appreciation for enjoying mother nature and the fresh Tofino air."
