"Clean room, friendly staff, and great beach front views from 2nd & 3rd floors. Walls are a lil thin & we could hear the neighbor’s toilet flush, but otherwise everything was great! I would stay here again!"

"This is a really cute hotel perfect for a quick trip to the beach. My main concern was there was mold in the shower ceiling and inside the fan. Water stains in the shower ceiling and standing water marks in on the floor of the shower. The mattresses were a little thin. But the location is amazing, beautiful pool, bar, and access to the beach. All the staff were friendly and welcoming—and helpful."

"The Sanderling is an excellent resort that is well maintained and full of amenities. The staff is professional, friendly, and courteous. We had a fantastic king suite with an ocean view. Please be aware that the building does not have elevators, so we had to lug our suitcases up and down four flights of stairs to our third-floor room. Navigating stairs is also the only way into the main entrance, so be prepared to carry your luggage—not exactly ADA-compliant. Additionally, our room featured two very large TVs: one in the living room and one in the adjacent bedroom. While convenient, both remotes operated both TVs simultaneously; turning on the bedroom TV would cause the living room TV to turn on to its previous channel and volume level, which was frustrating. With all of that said, the Sanderling is still a wonderful choice for a beach vacation in the Outer Banks!"
