"In the old block our assigned room had fairly flat worn carpet. That would have been fine if it was clean, but the carpets were dirty. The skirting boards were full of dust. There was hair on the bedsheets, and the bathroom was full of hair and pubic hair. As if the cleaning staff has used a very hairy brush/mop and just moved it from one room to another.
Reception was very apologetic and changed us to another room which although the carpets were dirty, it was hairless and went with it.
We asked for compensation and I was supposed to receive the cost of 1 night. This is apparently submitted to the finance department and claimed against the cleaning company. It has been 8 weeks and I still haven't received it. And my requests for updates have been ignored.
The staff know how incompetent the cleaning company is, so it is not a surprise when this happens. Also each room had something missing: e.g. towel, soap, toilet paper, so you'll be heading to reception a lot.
I'm sure this post will be deleted to maintain a good score."
"Clean, convenient from train station, and had a bonus fun activity within the hotel —bowling! Staff wasn’t overly helpful or friendly, but it was fine. We would stay here again."
"Emplacement de rêve avec plage privée, la vue est à couper le souffle, et le spa est superbe. Le restaurant et petit déjeuner sont délicieux. Le staff est très gentil, serviable et attentionné. C’est un sans faute, je reviendrai !"
"Beautiful old village in the gorgeous alps near around Mont Blanc. Beautiful drive up the winding roads. Clean, quiet, lovely friendly staff, easy free parking, in the town of St.-Germain-Les-Bains. The room was huge and had a nice balcony we could look out over another village down in the valley. We did not take the breakfast but it looked nice. We drove 20" to Chamonix to take the gondola (telepherique). Totally worth the ticket price to go to the top! Astonishing beauty and history. This hotel was perfect, we couldn't have asked for a better "near Mont Blanc" (away from the completely touristy Chamonix), reasonably-priced stay."
