This motel could use some updating but the price and being able to park right in front of our door was great considering that my husband was recovering from surgery and unable to walk very far. I try to stay in privately owned motels when they are available. If we travel that way again I will try to stay there again.

I was disappointed in this place. The bathroom was outdated - no soap, no plug in the sink, low down toilet. I went to the office for breakfast at 7:15 and the door was locked. I would not stay here again.

The parking lot has holes and very uneven areas everywhere. The room smelled musty which I don't mind, I just open the windows and spray some lysol when we encounter this. This night was cold, very cold, so we needed to turn on the heater. I have no pics, but I saw one on their website that show this - the ac/heater unit is way up on the top of the wall, making it impossible to see the front panel so using the remote is just a guessing game. We got the heat on, and a horrible burning smell came next. Not the smell you get from turning the heat on after months of non use, which is what the front desk said it was and recommended opening a window till it dissipates. It was an actual burning wire smell. So we just turned it off. Bathroom? Not good, a quick glance looks like it was cleaned, but the light switch had dirt on it so we just left in the morning to get showers at our next stop.

This is an older property but it is being well maintained and you get a nightly stay price that is a bargain in comparison to other Colby. They also provided a hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage links, two kinds of cold cereal, cinnamon rolls, and milk. The only thing lacking for me was some orange juice but I will definitely stay here again when I come out to help the school district. The shower was great and had strong water pressure. I also like being able to park right outside my door and this place has that! The bed also was very comfy. So, I had a great stay while saving me some travel money! From Clelia

AC not on, had to stand on a coffee table to turn it on. It was back walk at the top of the wall, couldn't even see the number of settings. Dead bugs on the floor, bathroom windows painted shut, very OLD bathroom fixtures and moldy and grungy . NO RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THIS LOCATIONS. Did not risk it to eat breakfast options.

It was non-refundable, so I had to except the loss when I quickly left as soon as I checked out the room, which smelled terrible. The entire place felt very unsafe. I couldn't leave fast enough, especially when I saw who was coming out of the other rooms! Total rip off.

You had to stand on a chair to adjust the air conditioner. The toilet had a big chunk out of the lid. It had a big metal junction box screwed to the wall to plug in electrical items. There were other things wrong but I dont have that much space here.
