"Ideally situated close to the centre of Berwick Upon Tweed. Excellent value for money. Compact room with small double bed, comfortable enough but a bit creaky. TV, Kettle and fridge in room aswell as a hairdryer. A few minor issues that could be improved upon are; TV is ok if you are connecting somwthing to it but the signal for the digital channels is terrible. There is no mirror next to plug sockets for styling hair etc. There are only 3 parking spaces and when we were there the first night,...

"Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. "

"We stayed for 3 nights at the White Swan. We booked at 2 days notice, and got the last room available, so I wasn’t surprised that it was quite a smallish room, but very very clean and comfortable. Breakfast - the Northumbrian - was magnificent, setting us up for a full days walking with no room or need for lunch. Then in the evening, it was a village pub, with village pub prices, friendly staff and locals happy to talk, and really great food, again at very reasonably prices. We really enjoyed...
