"The entry to the bed and breakfast was through the owner's residence. The state of the entry probably should have given a clue about the cleanliness of the rooms. The floors in the hallway looked as though they hadn't seen a vacuum in a year. Layers of dust on the furniture in the room, and floors that were not cleaned prior to my arrival. The shared bathroom hadn't been cleaned and the shower curtain was covered in pink mold. An old used facecloth hung inside the shower. I made this reservation...

"The location was convenient for our needs. It was quiet. The listing did not let you know that you had to leave your room for your “private “ bath. The listing stated there was air conditioning, there was a fan. Wayne was friendly and personable."

"The room smelled like urine upon entrance, the wall was covered in yellow streaks. I cleaned up with cleaning products but still can smell it. The bathtub was also quite clogged... We came to visit family spent 2 nights. Luckily the bed was ok and we only went there to sleep. Would not stay again ... We only booked it since some reviews were good after their renovations. Do not recommend to others"

"Lovely grounds, well maintained rooms, very pleasant staff and excellent breakfast, and the main house is a beautiful vintage estate house. I stayed in a separate building with a relaxing common area. It would have been nice to have coffee/tea available in room or in the common area (rather than have the short walk to the office area) to get coffee in the morning, particularly in inclement weather."

"This is a gem of a place. I have stayed at the abner many times and am delighted to say it is always a treat. The hotel is warm charming sparkling clean and perfectly located with shopping and dining just outside your doors. The rooms are comfortably appointed with all the extras of a posh stay . The breakfast is a must and don’t skip the frittata. Dinner is a cozy culinary experience with an ample menu to cover many tastes but dine exquisitely. If open do not miss out on the rooftop lounge...

The baseboard heat control required me to get on the floor and crawl into the corner of the room behind the fridge. And the room didn’t look at all like the picture on Expedia. Stay here if you have no other choice."

The room was spotlessly clean from the moment we walked in, which made a big difference after a long day of travel. "It does not seem there are Kings beds despite advertising/offering of such. Room has a full and a twin and no, they cannot be pushed together. The entire room is tiny. I mean tiny. My bf knees touched shower curtain when sitting on toilet and could not shut door-tiny. We did not attempt to use shower because so small. That being said, it satisfies what we needed it for-it was inexpensive as rates go, it was clean, the AC worked well as did the tv. Honestly I’d give 2.5."

"The rooms are not at all fancy, but perfect for a family if you want to get away for a few nights. We went with my 3, 4, and 7-year-olds and spent two nights playing in the pool, mini-golfing, and hitting the arcade once or twice. Again, not very high-end, but if you’re with children who love a pool and easy activities, it’s a good choice."
