Could be Better

Team is good. WiFi is very bad in the most expensive suite. Maintenance, Cleaning and service is non satisfactory. Es I have arrived, were no towels in room and the safe could not be used also as I moved to the suite which has no internet connection. Don't replace daily the bed sheet, forget replacing towels and force putting "Please clean my room" sign on the door. Cleaning is not a regular process. today 29.02.2020 at 15.00 h the room has not been cleaned although I have left the sign since yesterday.

not the best but by no means the worst

While the room was clean and comfortable there were a few discrepancies which made stay not as smooth as I would have liked. On arrival I was informed that the restaurant was closed due to refurbishment and therefore no available breakfast and that check out time is 12:00pm. When booking this was not clear and I suggested that they ensure their online info on own or booking sites be current and accurate. I booked a 2 night stay, on the 2nd day the room was cleaned to satisfaction, however the bath towels were taken when I asked for more I was told “an hour” but was given them within 10 minutes as I said I was unable to wait. On checkout day I was just about to leave, approx 11:57am for 12pm checkout, when I received a call from reception asking me to check out. As I was not late I found this rather unusual and did not appreciate it. The WIFI was not consistent also. For being close to the city centre and attractions this hotel was not expensive but if I booked again I would go in the knowledge that it would be for the room alone as no additional facilities other than a balcony and WiFi.

It was very nice staying there. best place to stay for a reason that I went Colombo - medication from Nawaloka. Staff were very good and friendly, location was ok and reachable to most daily needs. Over all very good and value fr money...

Not the worst, but nothing special

Poorly organized, too dependent on paper instead of a computer and too much time wasted while they had to try to locate them. Bed was comfortable but the rooms could do with being painted, too many stains on walls and marks on tables for it be called deluxe. Area is convenient for most of the major attractions, not a huge choice of eateries near by. Hotel was supposed to have breakfast but one day there was nobody there and another day it was not a buffet but a small choice of options. Not the worst hotel I have been in, but for the price it could have been better. Room was quiet with an inside balcony and sliding door helping to keep traffic noise down. Would not be my first choice if I visit again, but I would stay there again if no other options at the price. Staff at front desk were very unwilling to make decisions themselves and I did not like the way they left room keys on the counter and not putting them behind the desk. I told them this was a security issue, but it did not seem to register with them that someone could takes someone else's keys, as the desk was not always staffed.

Worth paying slightly extra for another place.

Sink was broken upon arrival, and for entire duration it wouldn't drain. Asked 3 different people for 3 subsequent days at front desk to have someone come up and repair it, but nobody did. Room was very dirty when I arrived and during the 6 days I was there no one came to clean it or empty trash, etc. Unidentifiable hairs that were not mine all over the place. Sheets had dark stains on them when I arrived. Wifi frequently stopped working. If everything was clean and working properly it would have been perfectly enjoyable.

location is good but

we had 2 times electricity down during the stay. No hot shower at 9 pm and asked to check after 30 minutes, hot shower was finally available. the wifi password was wrong. The serving time for the Break fast very late. But also want to mentioned that people was willing to help and everything were resolved.

Great Stay

The manager was very helpful. He answered all our questions and made sure that we were comfortable. He arranged for a tuk tuk driver to tour us around Colombo to see the sights. The entire staff was very helpful & friendly. The wifi was very good.

We arrived an hour and a half early for check in and we were told if we wanted our rooms early we would have to pay $15 US a room which we declined. This is not a good way to start our stay.

Great hotel at the Union Place

I was absolutly amazed by this hotel, everything is brand new, they are still working on the lobby but the rooms are just perfect. Clean, light and spacious. Great value for the money. If I have to go back to Colombo I will definitely stay at Days Inn. Thank you!

Lage okay, jedoch sehr laut

+ es wurde uns ein früherer Check In gewährt ohne Aufpreis - vor dem Fester war ein Generator der dauerhaft brummte - es war unglaublich laut, man hatte das Gefühl die Autos fahren durch das Zimmer hindurch / die Matratzen sind sehr sehr hart
