"I don't know about you but when I'm on a trip and stop for the night, my #1 concern is getting a good night's sleep so I can be refreshed & ready to go the next day. In this case, this was our destination & we were spending 3 nights here for a conference, then we were going to head back. Unfortunately, all 3 nights, the people in the room above us decided they wanted to "share" their favorite music collection with us.
The first night the music was quiet enough that it only woke me up intermittently. Well, I didn't want to put up a fuss so I didn't complain. First night of crap sleep.
Second night the music was playing again, and again I tried to sleep through it. However, at 1:15am they cranked the music up LOUD. After 1.5 hours of this, I finally called the front desk. They called the room & about 3:00am the music was turned off. Second night of crap sleep.
Third night the music was playing again but just a little too loud to try to sleep through. About 8:30pm, I called the front desk. The front desk called the room, and about 8:40 the music got... louder. From 8:40 to about 11:30, the music got quieter & louder, but the overall pattern was louder. At 11:30, I called the front desk and complained again, then hung up and called the police. The police showed up & the music was shut off. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to fall asleep until about 1:30am. Third night of crap sleep.
This was, perhaps, one of the worst stays ever. And I paid $145/night for this."
