"Very disappointed with our experience at this hotel. We had a confirmed reservation, but due to a major highway shutdown caused by a flipped truck, all roads leading to the hotel were completely closed for over 8 hours. Authorities had already announced that the highway would not reopen that night, and by the time we contacted the hotel, it was already 11 p.m. with absolutely no possible way for us to reach the property.
Despite this being a complete emergency situation and entirely out of our control, the manager refused to issue a refund. The reservation was canceled, but the hotel still kept our money even though access to the hotel was impossible because all roads were officially closed.
We expected at least some understanding and flexibility during such an unusual situation, but instead experienced very poor customer service and no willingness to help. Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience."
