"I had booked a 4 night stay for some r&r choosing to stay in the manor house. My 1st day there was a wedding being held at the Manor House, some facilities not available or restricted. I had not been informed of this event, my day of r&r sadly not forthcoming. An outdoor pool was not available, in the middle of a heatwave, apparently our of season in July. The rooms I was able to enter in the manor house are tired and need a refresh, my room had black mould in the bathroom, a ceiling extractor...

"A lovely thatched roof pub with sitting out area. The lady was so lovely and welcoming we can’t remember her name but she lived right by the pub. The room was lovely, a nice comfortable bed, lovely pillows and lovely and clean. The lady who was cleaning the rooms was on her own that day and we asked if we could check in early the day before. She worked wonders our rooms was spotless. We had a lovely stay with a great breakfast. Will definitely go back. We had three rooms and "

"I booked a single room and the room was fine, however, there's been a heatwave in the UK and it continued while I was staying at this hotel. I would have thought that, given there is no air conditioning in the hotel rooms and the heatwave was ongoing, a fan would have been provided. My room faced west so it was quite hot and it didn't cool down much as the evening progressed because there was no cross breeze - just one window on one side of the room. "Lovely old Manor House with nice well kept gardens and very personable and helpful hosts. Highly recommended."

"I liked it was a 13th century property because it has a lot of history. Staff were not visible and liquid soap was not replaced for three days in shared toilet. The young bar tender was pleasant and the kitchen was do it yourself catering. So no breakfast served. Cereals, milk and other loose foods were available though this aspect was not clearly communicated from the start. One bathroom had a power shower which was handy, due to the lack of rain I didn't want to use the baths."
