"We are an elderly couple & had a four hour journey through difficult weather. A staff member happened to be outside when we arrived & unasked, helped with parking, unloaded our luggage & took it to our room. On registering we were invited to rest in the lounge, served tea & assisted with telephoning. The room was very comfortable & clean. Breakfast excellent. All the staff were well turned out, friendly & helpful. On departure our luggage was carried from our room & placed in our car. "

"Really nice bear garden to relax after a long days work, great local beers. The staff are absolutely amazing, go above and beyond. I visited on a business trip, having to leave early each day at 7am, thus missing breakfast. When the bar staff heard this, they arranged for a breakfast to go for me each morning. "Was greeted in the car park and taken to my room, shown where breakfast was and the guest lounge. Alison was very friendly and very helpful with directions, not sure I would have made it to my destination without them! Area is quiet, room was cool which was great in this heat, bed was comfy, and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend!"
