"Great location virtually inside the airport. A few minutes walk from our room to the terminal. Large bathroom, comfortable bed. Bar food was just so so, but there’s a very nice breakfast spread available."

"Whenever I book using expedia I almost always get the room that nobody wants, the one next to the high traffic door, the elevator, or the ice machine area. It seems to be a pattern and I suspect it is because I use the expedia app to do so because it is always mentioned when I check in. The staff will almost always say " booked with expedia?" We have a ok time there. Ate at the hotel, service was slow, could see the restaurant manager having a bit of chat to one of the servers, it was obvious not a good one. Food was not great and they over charged me for food I did not have. Manager got it fixed and also deleted the service charge. Used the shuttle to and from the Gatwick airport. Was seamless."

"This hotel was in a beautiful location with stunning grounds (which needed a bit of maintenance). the bar, reception, restaurant & seating areas within the main hotel were beautifully updated but I stayed in a room out the back in a separate wing and my patio door was broken and could not be locked so i had about 1/2 hours sleep - worrying about someone coming into my room. This whole block needs serious renovation. All in all though the room - even though it needed a complete update, the bed was comfortable and the linen on the bedding was lovely. Lovely meal in the restaurant & the breakfast was delicious"

"Good value for money with lovely, helpful staff. The room was a little tired (particularly the bathroom) and the door needed to be rattled around a bit to make the electronic key work (the cleaner showed me how). Everything was clean though, the desk had a good chair for work, and there was a comfy chair with table to relax in too. Reception staff were lovely, and patiently sorted out a little confusion around my receipts. Bar staff were friendly, and the restaurant had a limited menu but good service and the food was good - particularly the specials - aubergine fritters were lovely. Good value for money."
