"Orca Lodge was an excellent choice! All amenities you could possibly need are in the room. The view is spectacular and the deck is the perfect place to start your morning with the tied out and end your day feeling like you were floating on the water."

"The room was good value for money. Nothing fancy but clean. Couldn’t get the Tv to work but overall good. It would be nice to have some chairs to sit on outside as a suggestion"

"This is a very comfortable and relaxing space with a lovely view in a quiet neighbourhood. Everything we needed for the kitchen is there and the small appliances were good for meal prep. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious. Several books are available to read comfortably in the recliner sofa or in the Adirondack chairs on the deck. The hosts provided great info for our arrival and possible activities and were really quick to respond to our inquiries. The house is only a couple of minutes drive from downtown and it’s also a short walk if you can handle the hills. A five minute walk away are the trails of the Ecological Park which is also an easy and beautiful forest and marsh walk. Don’t miss visiting the U’mista Cultural Centre either. The exhibits are very interesting and enlightening. There’s also a fantastic gift shop."

"This was a great place to stay in Alert Bay. Quaint and quirky, with excellent and friendly staff. Try the restaurant downstairs, the fish and chips and their curries were both excellent!"

"Host is very friendly and helpful, room was clean, nice to have an ocean view. Walking distance from the ferry dock. There is an excellent little restaurant in the building (limited days/hours). Overall good value for the rate."
