We had an amazing stay in Discovery Coron, celebrating my father's bday! The staff are very helpful and very accommodating! The beach is so private and very relaxing! I will definitely be back here!!!!!

If you don't want the busy high traffic tourist area areas of Palawan, but still want the great experience then I definitely recommend discovery coron. It's on its own private island, but there is free pick up and drop off from the airport. It's a short ride from the airport to the boat and then probably about a 25 minute boat ride to the island. The first thing you will notice is you see the island is the beautiful white beaches of the island itself. The staff members were all very friendly and everyone is helpful. I definitely recommend one of the oceanfront rooms, where you walk off your front porch and ride onto the beach. The food was good, although a bit pricey at the restaurant there. Of course, being the only option for food, they can get away with charging it though but as long as you don't go crazy ordering, it's affordable enough. I can definitely see myself staying here again and was only sad that I was there for one night only.

We enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay. Setting was stunning, with the beautiful beach and sea. 2 lovely pools, free rental for kayaks, paddle boards and snorkels. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were exceptional, especially Acea who worked in the restaurants. Food in the restaurants at night was very nice but breakfast wasnt to my taste. Trees full of fruit bats were a special treat.

What a wonderful and truly unique island, a real natural beauty. The staff were super friendly, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the surroundings felt spacious and never crowded. It all felt very exclusive. Well worth spending a few days here.

My wife and I first visited Discovery Coron (then Club Paradise) in May 2013. 5 stars, nothing but praise at that time, for the facilities, staff, restaurant, and beaches. We returned in April 2022, and what a change. In my review then, I pointed out problems with the staff in terms of communications and ability to provide service, in pre-trip arrangements, at reception, and at the restaurant. The facilities needed maintenance, the grounds needed cleaning. Our room was in poor condition. The island was still beautiful and tranquil, but it was such a disappointment to see the changes to a previously wonderful resort. After that review I was contacted by the General Manager, Mr. Joegil Escobar. I felt his was an honest response and that he understood the need for improvement. From recent reviews, it seemed that most of the problems had been addressed; Discovery Coron again seemed like a good place to visit, this time with my son and his family, including our 3-year old grandson. We could not have been happier with our choice to return. From excellent communications post booking, to our airport pickup, reception, service from the staff, everything was easy and wonderful. The happy and welcoming spirit was back with the staff. We, and especially our toddler, were treated wonderfully. The facilities are again in top shape, our room was well cared for and very clean. Both food and service in the restaurant were well enjoyed. Same for the PADI dive shop and Glow spa. Well done!

The Filipino staff are very polite, respectful, and always ready to help. That really stood out and should definitely be kept. It’s also a big plus that guests don’t need to rent kayaks or paddleboards separately - having the fins included adds extra convenience.

We has a great time at Discovery Coron. The staff were friendly and very accommodating starting from the airport pick up, transport to the hotel and the hotel check in/check out. However, my daughter was bitten by what appears to be bed bug bites all over her leg, feet and arms. We had 2 rooms booked, but she stayed at 3106. Her bed was closest to the double doors. We’d like to notify the hotel to investigate/remedy the issue so it does not happen to other guests.

It was a WOW coming in to the island on the bargka boat. We were initially picked up at a wee dock in the countryside and rode down the mangrove lined river before entering the ocean. Food was great, room was lovely and staff were very attentive. We were here during the US/Iran war so it was very quiet. We had a palapa and beach chairs to ourselves. Chance to snorkel, kayak and paddle board. Pool was nice although the water was warm from the sun. The bats were so cool, seeing them all sleep in the trees and then leave at sundown. They had a baby bat which we could see every day. The morning hike to see the sunrise was stunning. Highly recommend spending some time here.

Amazing private island with beautiful sunset views. Stayed in beachfront cottage with an incredibly comfortable California King bed, large closet space with a beautiful porch for sunsets. Food was a bit disappointing and restaurant staff not super attentive. Best beach around with clear, warm turquoise waters.

it’s one of the most amazing resort we’ve been! We knew this place when my dad was in the executive position of DENR but we never had the chance to visit then. The view of the island as you approached-white sand , the island in the distance standing proud & calm welcoming you home, was out of this world beautiful I was so emotional I was welling up whilst soaking in the view. The hospitality of the staff is top notch, they welcomed us with the most refreshing drink & warm towel. We had the Sunset villa -de luxe, the view was magnificent, we had our own private space by the beach, the stretch of white sand, the other islands exquisitely lining up the horizon, and the calmest bluest water are so beautiful you’l hear the gods of nature singing in your soul. The staff will greet you ever so sincerely each time they see you around, they will do everything to make your stay the most special & comfortable. I really enjoyed the (daily!!) complimentary drinks for the sunset villa guest, my husband doesn’t drink much so had them most for myself! We enjoyed all the foods, although it was expensive as expected I was more thsn happy to pay for the high quality foods they serve! Discovery Coron thank you so very much for the most wonderful time we had in that out of this world paradise! It was what we need to enjoy life as a family again! Location and scenery beautiful. Staff very friendly and always wanting to help. Food very expensive and not great - we found the Philippino restaurant better than the other one available. We were charged £12 for 3 scoops of ice cream - you don’t get charged that much in London tourist spots!! Everything shuts down by 10pm. We only stayed 2 nights and that was enough to appreciate the location but long enough to move on.
