Hotel IPV Palace & Spa

"It was a nice hotel, amazing views, go for a see view on the 5th floor of Ronda building. You won't be disappointed, and the sunrise is stunning. I would like to mention Simone the Manager, whose attention to ensuring my stay was satisfactory, was great customer service, which was consistent among the staff I spoke to. I have to admit the spa was disappointing, parts of the spa was locked, or out of order. Plus to use the spa is extra for customers. I think it would be nice if customers staying at the hotel were offered a complimentary first session in the spa. Then pay for any additional sessions while staying at the hotel. But overall I had a good time, and was well looked after. The hotel is also perfectly located, a scenic 15 minute walk to all the bars, restaurants, and clubs. Or a 20 minute taxi ride to Marbella, public transport is good too, and will take about 45 minutes to get there. Puerto Banus is a 15 minute bus ride from the Marbella bus station. I would highly recommend this hotel, and I intend to stay there on my next visit to the Costa de sol. I hope the hotel takes on my comments and suggestions related to the spa, which would be nice to see on my next stay. I would rate my stay overall 7.5 out of 10."

"It is a great hotel with lots of features - roof top pool, sauna and pool. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, bathroom needs updating- dirty shower curtain. Pool area is good with lots of sun loungers but the music is too loud, impossible to listen to your own music. Friendly staff, would stay again."

"We only stayed overnight as it was near the airport after touring southern Spain. The Hotel was good with a nice breakfast (which they let us in early due to the flight time) and the room had a distant sea view which was nice. Parking was a bit of an issue to start with and as to be expected it was a bit noisy due to other guests, but it served our purpose well."

"Oh boy, where do I start? 1. Check in was a fiasco. We specified non-handicap room when we booked. The first room that Fernando, the staff who checked us in, gave us, was of course, handicap. When we complained, he gave us another room, which is again, handicap. We complained again and he offered us a non-handicap room but it would be bigger, according to him so there will be an upgrade charge of 15 euros per night. We said yes but the room was next to a door being constructed and dust was all over, from the door handle to the floors. Worse, the room was not made. We have photos to prove. Rosa of housekeeping told us another room, same size that we booked, is available. We finally got the room that we paid for. Since the suggested upgrade did not happen, I specifically told Fernando that we should not incur added charge and he said he will make sure. When we checked out, guess what, the hotel was charging us for the upgrade. What??? When we told them what happened, they relented. 2. Staff was incompetent, specifically Fernando. Because of the check-in fiasco, he promised to send us a bottle of wine. We stayed 3 nights, but did we get the wine? NO! 3. Property was not clean. On day 2, ants started coming out of our sink. We have photos to prove. 4. Amenities were useless. Everything--- pool, sauna, spa, closes at 6 PM. There's a tub but no stopper so it's useless. Don't get fooled by this hotel's glitzy photos and ads. This hotel overpromises but severely underdelivers."

"We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The service was excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Osama was especially helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The entire staff was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. Highly recommended!"

"This was a little gem of a hotel before a flight from Malaga the next day. Free airport transfer in 10 minutes. Excellent food and drink and an optional buffet breakfast for 15 euros."
