"Check in could be improved. Arrived to a busy pub with customers waiting for service at the bar and no designated check in desk. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. The room was okay but not as shown on our booking confirmation - it was an attic room with very steep stairs and a not very safe landing area outside the door. "We stayed during the recent heatwave, and unfortunately the bedrooms did not have air conditioning, which made our stay quite uncomfortable. We were initially provided with a Dyson fan, but it wasn’t working properly. After reporting this, it was replaced with two small desk fans, which we appreciated, but they still weren’t enough to keep the room cool. "Stunning hotel, excellent value. Rooms were decorated beautifully. Shower was excellent and room spotless. Comfortable bed and plenty of tea and coffee available. Feels like property should be a 5 star. Space to hang clothes was also a bonus and room very spacious. Absolutely will return. I didn't have breakfast but will do upon return."
