"The rooms were dated. They could have used a refresh. There were no cups in the room. I had to use one I got at a gas station. There doesn't seem to be enough parking for guests when the hotel is full. Brock, the clerk on duty when I checked in was very friendly but the clerk at check out was not."

"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!"

Tub floor and walls dirty and soap dispensers in showers dirty. Arrived to find out what was booked was one bed but by receipt clearly said two. "The outside patio was our favorite spot. We loved the breakfast. The avocado toast is wonderful and the staff is so helpful and friendly."

"I have stayed here in the past and never had a problem. It is convenient to restaurants and stores. Easy access to downtown if you use Waze and avoid the main strip of west broad/atl highway."

"The bed was comfy but the TV didn’t work. There was a dead bug stuck to the bulletin board behind a piece of paper with hotel information. Not a huge deal, especially since we didn’t see it until we were packing up to leave."
