"This isn't a hotel; it’s just a residential house. After following the GPS through several turns to get here, I was greeted by nothing more than a large private home. I double-checked the address sent by Expedia—it matched perfectly. I had no choice but to get out and check the front door, and sure enough, this was the place.
I feel completely fooled and scammed. Charging over **$140** for a tiny **80 sq. ft.** room with a **shared bathroom** is ridiculous. Please look closely at the details...

"We travelled with young kids so picked this hotel for its indoor pool and breakfast. The pool was a big hit particularly because if it’s slide. The breakfast included sausages and eggs plus the typical waffle machine and baked goods. The room was old and the beds were good enough but the microwave and fridge made easy for us. Location to HWY 1 was great"

"We didn’t understand the parking situation so we ended up paying instead of getting a voucher but it all worked out. The staff was very friendly and the rooms clean. The building secure with a keypad check in. The only drawback which was not the fault of the hotel was some road noise and the many trains going thru at night. The window air conditioner worked well. We enjoyed sitting on the patio at the bar next door and siping our delicious cocktails. "

"This hotel is in the midst of a major construction upgrade. We had one of the newly upgraded rooms which was very nice. The whole property, including the lobby, is essentially a “construction yard”.
All be it off to one side, there was a huge pile of boxes of construction materials in the lobby.
“The breakfast” was virtually non-exsistent - consisting of no more than two or three choices of cereals and a tub of apples and coffee.
We had no advanced warning that the hotel would be in is state.

"This place is worth the money, but it's a 2*, so you can't expect much. You have 10 min to let them know if anything is wrong. I found out the aircon didn't work, but we were headed to an event, so didn't report it. I'm sure they would have found me another room, but we didn't feel like repacking and we were only there for one night. My suggestion. Is to che m the aircon right away if it's hot out. The staff was very accommodating."

"Place was great, the man who checked us in was absolutely lovely. The room itself wasn’t anything special, but it was in good quality for the price point.
Biggest issue was the area. I was glad I was there with my partner. But had I been alone as a single woman, I would have been a bit scared. It was a bit of shady area, lots of vagrants, trash, needles on the street, etc. "
