"The hotel is very well located next to one of the largest beautiful parks in Bern. In this park there is one of the most excellent restaurants from the city with beautiful views from all BERN - extraordinary - and only walking distance from the hotel.
For transportation, across the hotel several buses take you to downtown or the train station and they go every 10 minutes - transportation is free - you need to get a pass in the front desk.
The rooms are big and very comfortable with nice views...

Looked nothing like pictures when booked
There was only one mirror which was in the bathroom/ toilet so made doing hair and makeup difficult if someone else was using the bathroom
Also only one socket was standard European the rest needed a special adapter (which I sent an email about as per note in the room but no reply)"

"The highlight of this hotel is the breakfast, which you can eat inside or out. It's a great breakfast, and considering the cost of food in Switzerland, really adds to the value. The rest of the hotel is basic. Staff were friendly, room was basic, location was good if you wanted to be near the lake Geneva waterfront and the neighbourhood offered plenty of international restaurants. My biggest turn off was the smell of the room which hit me every time I entered. I believe the smell was coming...

"This is a tired old hotel, don’t expect something fancy. It’s expensive for what it is, but at least the room was ok. I paid an extra 16 franks per night for an upgrade that included a portable air conditioner. Sounds good but in reality the a/c unit was loud therefore you cannot sleep with it on, even low. The price I ended up paying per night was more expensive than other hotels. The big and only plus though was the location, opposite train station."
