"The Hotel, Restaurant, Bar and other amenities were great. However, the very best part was the staff, who were ALL exceptional-plus!! It was truly remarkable how genuinely friendly and helpful the staff members were. We even found the exceptionally friendly service in many of the other venues that we visited nearby. "The Peppertree Inn is an older property, however, it is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and Casey (met at check-in), was very helpful. "The location is perfect in Tahoe City, right across the street from The Commons. It was close to great food, drinks and bakery’s. I stayed in room 8, which was on the top floor. The room was spotless, the bedding very comfortable and of high quality. I slept really well and it was very quiet. I appreciated the shampoo, body lotion and conditioner. The thing I DIDNT LIKE was the check in process. I sent them 3 texts asking them how I check in with no response. I later found 4 emails from them...

"The ownership seemed in transition with policy like free breakfasts being changed. The buffet breakfast was not offered. Room was clean but the auto on lighting in the sink area would come on with any movement. Since there is not a door, we often would be awakened . The person on the front desk was very helpful as was the housekeeper."
