"We received such a warm welcome at The Boars Head. It felt like everything in the room was really high spec. Loved that we had a stocked fridge (you had to pay for most items, though!) with free milk and a free dram each, too! A espresso machine with good choice of coffees and tea bags. "Charming with quirks.
For example, at dinner they ran out of meat pies. They pointed me to the grocery store across the street. I returned with 2. They heated them and served them on china plates. Perfect solution.
Lots of parking and the staff made you feel welcome."
"Loved the beautiful and nicely appointed Blue Room 💙 It was comfortable and had a roomy bathroom with a heated towel bar on a timer. Miss Julie straightened up every day and left us clean towels and topped off the supply of homemade Scottish shortbread.
Breakfast was amazing; continental plus she'll cook anything else you could want. And, there are homemade jams 😋
The former manse is absolutely charming and homey and Miss Julie and Mr. Richard are completely lovely hosts."
"It was a lovely hotel with very friendly staff . Very dog friendly which was fab and the staff made us feel very relaxed with our dog . Our room and bathroom were large and the bed was very comfortable .The room and bathroom were very clean my only minor issue was there was some black around the shower which looked off putting ."
