"Stayed in pillars house for a night with my two girls. Had the room with 3 single beds and it was super cosy. Decor was a bit dated but we loved that - felt like granny’s house! Lovely and clean and great facilities in the kitchen to use. We would definitely go back to stay. Staff were lovely and friendly. Nothing to dislike. We used public transport and that was easy from pillars house too. "
"A lovely modern clean room, a good size and lots of extras (fridge, iron board, iron, hairdryer etc). A lovely quayside view. Staff friendly and helpful in particular Claire who helped to re-arrange date of stay."
"Family room was comfortable and spacious with a double bed & bunk beds. Great power shower very modern. Wi-Fi was okay but kept buffering in evening, only freeview tv available. No parking on site but they have a discount with Greenmarket car park which is a 5min walk from hotel. Ideal stay if you’re travelling by train. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Would stay again"
"Bed and pillows was very comfortable. The quality if the bed covers made it super wasy to fall alseep ans its only 15min drove from the airport.
Quality of the room was great however the menu in the restaurant was lack luster for the price."
DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh - Queensferry Crossing
10/10 Excellent
"Nice clean room. View of both road bridges from our window. Room was made up next day without having to request it.
The restaurant menu had a good selection & the views were amazing.
Bus stop outside for trips into Edinburgh (frequent service) or towns round about.
It’s the second time we’ve stayed here & wouldn’t hesitate to stay again."
"The room was clean as although dated. We intended to have evening meal but when we sat in the bar/restaurant area for 10 minutes, we observed utter chaos with no leadership of staff. The Bar person was uninterested with no urgency. The bar was full of unwashed empty glasses. No way to run a bar. We left and ate elsewhere. We would not recommend this hotel."
Best Western Plus Dunfermline Crossford Keavil House Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"This is not what advertising. This is not 4star at all. Very very limited breakfast. Just basic things. Toiletries were inadequate. No toothpaste and other things. No house keeping service unless you are staying more than three nights (unbelievable). No room fridge, no hairdryer, no room extension in case you need to call reception. In bathroom, two different taps for hot and cold which is very hard to use. It should be 2 star hotel rating. Please don’t misled by the pictures and the good reviews."
