"Friendly staff but a bit slapdash at breakfast, rooms comfortable but south facing rooms need a portable aircon unit when warmer outside as the room was stiflingly hot despite window open and fan on. Excellent food which we could not fault for two nights dinner."

"I can’t fault the Sure Hotel in Lockerbie. A beautiful building, fantastic en suite room, very clean and modern. Or host, the manager Glen couldn’t have been more helpful. Plenty of free secure parking and we ended up taking a lovely stroll into Lockerbie for dinner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel, great staff who are so helpful. We’ll definitely be going again. "

We informed before that we arrive around 11 pm. Nobody was available at reception to welcome us and show our rooms. We spend about 1/2 hour to figure out were our rooms were, exploring the entire ground floor area and first floor. "The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

"The room had a great view, was small but comfortable, and the bathroom had been updated. Evening meal, breakfast staff were friendly and polite. The car park had limited spaces. As other guests have mentioned, the stairs to the rooms are steep and numerous"
