"Sehr zentral gelegen – darin sehe ich den grössten Vorteil dieser Unterkunft. Die Umgebung beziehungsweise das Gebäude selbst wirken allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Positiv hervorzuheben sind die saubere Toilette und Dusche sowie die Betten, Decken und die allgemeine Grundausstattung. Weniger angenehm waren der etwas strenge Geruch im Zimmer, der sehr laute Kühlschrank sowie die ausgeprägte Ringhörigkeit. "The hotel itself is in a magnificent setting, set within the cliffs on a beautiful peninsula. A real architectural masterpiece with panoramic windows so you get amazing views. The breakfasts were fantastic. Such a large choice. We did opt for half board but found the evening options no where near as good as the breakfasts so we ate out instead. However don’t let that put you off as they also have a steak house and another nice restaurant, not just the buffet style one. The spa is nice. I had a treatment and the massage was fantastic. The indoor pool is salt water. Cold even though they said it was heated but it was refreshing all the same. The room we stayed in overlooked the sea at the back of the hotel. Tastefully furnished with a nice little balcony to sit and watch the waves - very relaxing. One of the best features in my opinion was the buggy service down to Cavtat and back to the hotel. It’s either a steepish meandering bank or over 100 steps so this was ideal for those who have mobile issues or anyone who just couldn’t be bothered to walk. Free service too. Fantastic. The staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. Entertainment was just a piano bar but that didn’t bother us as we like to venture out on an evening. All in all a lovely stay in a very nice hotel"

Pharos Hvar Bayhill Hotel

"Our stay at Pharos was perfect! It was exactly what we hoped for during our stay in Hvar. The highlights included the breakfast buffet, which was large and full of delicious options, the pool and pool bar, and the proximity to town and beaches nearby. a few things to keep in mind, to reach the hotel by foot you will be walking uphill - a very easy walk uphill in our opinion but an uphill nonetheless, they do offer baggage pickup and drop off at the Hvar ferry port if you are coming in/ out on one of the public scheduled ferries! Very helpful for us with heavy backpacks. Another thing to note is that because it is at the top of a hill, it gets a little windier there than by the beach. So if it is hot by the beach, we found that the sun was still really warm by the pool but the wind cooled you down. We were travelling right before peak season so we can imagine it being perfect in the summer!"

Amfora Hvar Grand Beach Resort

"My fiance and I loved our say at Amfora Hvar grand beach resort! We arrived at the property early and the front desk was very accommodating with storing our bags and allowing us to use the pool prior to check in. We laid at the pool and got lunch for a few hours until our room was ready, which was still 2 hours before check-in. The pool has a nice resort vibe and pool staff were fairly attentive with drink orders. Our room appeared to be newly renovated- it was clean, beautifully decorated with an impressive bathroom. We appreciated the mini bar and the bathroom stocked with toiletries. We did not hear our neighbors. The hotel restaurant/bar has a wonderful patio overlooking the pool and Adriatic sea. Although we just had the focaccia appetizer, it was some of the best bread and olive oil of our entire trip. The resort even has a shuttle service for bags for the nearby ferry, so your bags will be dropped off allowing you to walk the short 10 minutes to the ferry port/town uninhibited with your bags. the cherry on top was the breakfast buffet! It had endless options of food and drink with floor to ceiling windows of the amazing view. We wish we had stayed here for more than 1 night and hope to go back!"
