"We enjoyed our stay at Podestine. The staff were friendly. Being near the sea was brilliant. However, I'd advise sea shoes due to sea urchins nearby (our son stepped on one and needed to have them removed). The rooms were okay, but the hotel was a bit dated. But it lived up to the 4-star rating. The bedding could have been better as the duvets/sheets were too small for the beds (no overhang). "This is a really great little hotel. Perfect location, walkable to everything. The manager met us at the ferry and carried our bags up to the hotel( loads of stairs). The breakfast was made to order with many options and was delicious. The staff were all hard working and helpful. The room was smaller but very clean and had a view of the water! Would definitely recommend while staying in Hvar."

"We had a wonderful stay at Vila Lacman, the room was clean, light and airy. There was everything you would need in the kitchen and there was cold water in the fridge when we arrived, which was very well received. It is close to a supermarket which has an amazing restaurant above, we ate there twice. Quite a hike up from the port but well worth it. Would definitely stay there again if we are ever in Hvar. The Lacman family were lovely hosts."
