"The rooms were clean but out dated. Rust on the bottoms of the metal door frames. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The parking can be a pain if you have a bigger vehicle and you try to park under the building. There is additional parking across the street in a gravel lot. Location is perfect for eating out, you are surrounded by great restaurants and live music. It gets quiet around 10 o’clock. A short walk to the beach and out door shower to wash off sand."

"We had a great stay! The only thing that I would change is the lighting in our room was very dim(which is great to feel cozy, but trying to get ready would have lived more light) and there was no where to really do hair and makeup. The bathroom lighting was fine but there was no counter to set your things on. It was a pedestal sink with no counter at all. Other than that we loved it!!"

"To have a luxury hotel like this that is privately owned and not a massive corporate feel is awesome. We love the Charleston place and all the changes they have been making over the past few years. Beautiful property great vibe and quiet luxury."

"Very clean, streamlined room. Central stash was helpful. Enjoyed rooftop area a lot - comfortable seating arrangements around decking, ping pong , cornhole and we played farkle. Son got up early to view spacex launch from patio — got some hotel crew out with him; he got neat pix from it. Downside—homeless shelter right next door and limited street parking where they hang. We had no issues with any of them, but I would not do alone. We did walk to king street area from hotel. Not too far. We spoked from hotel to north Charlotte, to folly’s island, to historic Charleston and to Shems Creek and Sullivans island. All easy drives."
