"I had high expectations for this hotel. I chose it based on reviews and price (fairly high) I love a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, other than the price I would not consider this a luxury hotel. The decor is kitchy, dated, and way overdone. To me everything just seemed to be trying too hard and it all missed the mark. "The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a great location with there being a short walk into the heart of the Pearl District. The hotel and our room were clean and well maintained. There’s a towel warmer in the large bathroom, which was a nice touch. Bed comfort was ok. "Our room was spacious, but of course we paid nearly $3000 for it so I would expect that. I liked the daily housekeeping as well as the full kitchen in our townhouse. I wished the hotel would’ve provided free water bottles in our room. That would’ve been a nice amenity to enjoy for the price we paid. As far as criticisms go, the toilet paper roll is not adequately positioned in the master bathroom. It was very uncomfortable to roll out. Also the shower is definitely needing to be updated. Ours...
