"Lovely room and setting, but at a price. Very disappointing to then discover that there was a charge for bag storage despite staying before and after our trip."

"It's ok but definitely not worth the $200 per night. The king room was rather small, windowless and the king bed was just 2 singles pushed together so you can't acrually sleep in the middle. Reasonably clean. Not sound proof at all against other noisy guests and the bar downstairs gets quite busy abd loud as well."

"Location was quite central, only a short walk to restaurants and shops. We loved the zen and uplifting pictures posted around the hotel walls. It was brilliant to be able to go up to the rooftop to eat and drink under the glorious sunset."

"Bed and pillows comfortable. Very small shower cubicle. Rain head shower that you can't get away from with very poor pressure. Ineffective hair dryer that needs button pushed down constantly to operate. Floor not properly cleaned - after shower dirt from feet appeared on bed. Room was very noisy. Could hear person next door coughing and their alarm going off. Doors could be head slamming open and closed from about 4:30 am. Only 2 tea bags for a 2 night stay."

"Had a wonderful stay at Alatai. All staff were extremely friendly. It was very convenient to most of what there is to see in Darwin itself. Was great to have a kitchenette to self cater, but the food outlets in Darwin are so good and well priced. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our 6 night stay"
