"We stayed in The Bear Cave, Grand Suite or Muskoka Suite (it seems to have several names), but Grand Suite is certainly appropriate. It is absolutely beautiful with a wood burning fireplace which we enjoyed very much - though it would be good to have a heads up that patrons must bring their own wood. The kitchen is equipped with every possible appliance, dish, tool that anyone could ever want, including a bagel slicer and a wine fridge! We have never seen so many cupboards and shelves. "staff were amazing, literally all of them. The building is being renovated by complete amateurs though and there were no notices when booking. Water issues, painting everywhere, shotty work even while spreading grout over tile with salt and mud on them just kept spreading the grout. Hotel is dated left right and center so them doing the lobby is for astetics. Pool is outdated, woods moldy, carpets gross. Is what it is though. "

"It’s our first time to stay in this hotel & we’re happy that we chose this hotel to stay. Very clean , new amenities. Breakfast that comes with it has different variations. Staff are great specially Julie who has been so helpful, approachable. Even helped out in the breakfast area since they were short staffed, but we didn’t feel lesser service. Will be using the same hotel on our future trips here. Thanks a lot to Julie!!"

"The staff, Melanie was very friendly and helpful. The room was okay, nothing special. My only complain is the bed, which is the most important part of booking a room. Right as we got in the room we checked the bed and found so much hair, the pillows smelled like someone’s sweaty head, so i asked for fresh sheets and changed it myself."
