The villas are beautiful, alot of room, great views. Has the added feature of no charge for valet as each villa has an assigned space., unlike standard rrooms... save $65/night. Many good restaurants, excellent facilities,beach easily accessible. Shopping available. Highly recommend

We rented a Villa for our daughter’s birthday and it was clean and very comfortable. We spent time at the relaxing pool. Great location to everything in Del Mar village. Hope to visit again.

Just to note the concierge was a bit of a dud. I had no idea where our room was, how to get to it or where to park. Usually you're given a map of the property or a least directions. Also we had many stairs and had an injured guest I should have asked about stairs before. The room was great although noisy with the train very early in the am. The rest was great and we had a nice stay.

We loved our stay at Villa L'Auberge. Situated just down the hill from the main hotel, the Villas are spacious, newly updated and have nice outdoor patios. We got a great value for our travel dollar here. The unit fit our family of 3 comfortably for 4 nights and was a solid choice for a centrally located basecamp. We spent time at the Zoo, Torrey Pines, and also ventured up to Oceanside and Encinitas. Nothing was more than 20-30 minutes away. The front desk greeted us with sparkling wine upon check in. The pool deck is cozy; we enjoyed the fire pits with some tea and coffee while our daughter had fun in the pool & hot tub. Mornings gave a perfect opportunity to watch surfers or walk down to the park. There are several restaurants, bars, and bakeries within walking distance. Del Mar has charm to spare, that's for sure! Next time I'll likely request a second floor room. We could hear a lot of footsteps at night. We especially appreciated the newly renovated rooms. The bathroom was large and featured new tile & a new shower. Even the pull out couch was comfy. We'll be back for sure next time we are in the San Diego area. Love staying in Del Mar!

Much better than my expectations!

I loved staying at the villas. I've stayed at the hotel previously, which is amazing and the villas were perfect for an overnight staycation where we could use the hot tub and make an amazing dinner in the kitchen at the villa. Great views!

Good, but not great

First off, this property is NOT the Hotel L’Auberge, so lower your expectations! The villa is small, but nicely equipped. Parking is very easy, as each unit has an assigned spot. Our unit had a great view, so no complaints.The mattress is terrible, and they need to replace it. No AC, so do not stay here during a heat wave. They charge $50 for resort fees, but there was no amenities.

The morning after we arrive, we called maintenance to say our spa tub jets were not working. A gentleman came quickly. He said a gif tripped and wasn't sure how to fix it. He said he would talk to his manager and call us shortly. Never got a call and for the rest of the stay we had to look at the panel off from the bath tub and never got to use the spa tub.

Meh. When asked about a/c staff said ‘we don’t have a/c in California’ You have to be witty to carry off sarcasm with a customer, particularly at the high end. He wasn’t. The staff did not seem over bright. I was asked three times about a parking voucher by the same person within 15 minutes. After I told her we had no car. Build quality of the entire resort crumby, compared to a relauscet chateau quality establishment.
