When we booked this (and 2 other Princess lodge stops), I didn’t realize it was tied to the cruise line (and land ‘cruise). We liked it, and was definitley more modern than the other options in the area. Rooms were nice. Drawback was no parking close to your room and no fridge/microwave. A bit warm at first since no ac and blinds were open to sun all day. Would benefit from a few activities on site (ie corn home or horse shoes like some of the other lodges have).

Great location. Very prompt service. They’d help you with even those amenities that are not in their regular offering, just ask for it. Amazing restaurants in the property with good food options and beautiful outdoor patios with views of river and mountains.

The property is located in a beautiful area with convenient access to nearby dining options. The staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the hotel itself felt outdated and lacked basic amenities. We also experienced plumbing issues, and the toilet was not functioning properly, which affected our overall comfort.

Accommodation is in two storey lodges around the site. We were on the ground floor of one and that made getting the cases in easier but the downside was how much you could hear people upstairs walking around and using the bathroom and they were very early risers! Room & bed comfortable, fairly basic facilities in room but had all you needed. Great location for touring Denali park with free shuttle bus available and the Tundra Wilderness tour we went on picked up from the hotel.

Was given a room facing the dumpster. Need I say more? Request to assign a different one was met with “we are sold out”. Which just meant they didn’t want to give that room to someone else.

I asked for a quiet room, but the one we stayed was next to the room with a vendor machine, washer and dry, and an ice maker machine. The power went off for three hours, as well as running water in the evening time.

This is the place to stay in Denali National Park. It's very close to the entrance of the park. And the free transportation from the Lodge to the train depot, the Park Visitor Center, the Horseshoe Lake trail runs very often and very efficient. The Lodge is a quaint, beautiful village with cabins and restaurants and walking paths and free shuttle running throughout. Beautiful flower baskets hanging everywhere you look. Not to mention a roaring Alaska river right next to the Lodge. It reminded me of a Disney Village resort but more authentic. Princess has done a great job with this place

Most of the staff at the hotel are helpful and courteous but I did encounter some that were not. My keycard kept getting desensitized at least 4 times on my 3 night stay and one insisted I put it too close to my phone which is not true. But instead of just apologizing she berated me. Asking questions about obtaining luggage, shuttle information etc was like pulling teeth and answered with an attitude.

The property is fine. Great location. However, the rooms are dated and not worth what we paid. Blow dryer was from the 1970s. No safe or refrigerator. If you’re paying that much for a room I believe you should have a safe, refrigerator, and microwave. Oh, and the shower is a trailer-type insert that’s cheap with a shower curtain. Gross!

Lovely place, but very expensive. Also slightly awkward getting to your lodge on arrival and departure if you can’t walk far and have lots of luggage - they have golf buggies, but just a hassle to always arrange to be picked up. Plus, a rude welcome as I dared to drop off an infirm travel companion and take luggage out of the car outside the reception. Was told sternly to not do that, park in the lot, then walk to reception.
