I continue to return to this wonderful little place. It is a great 3 star hotel that is quiet and peaceful. As a single traveler I feel completely safe . It close to the beach and fantastic restaurants in the quiet end of Sanur.

would recommend this property to family &friends &stay again Great: Friendly & helpful staff Arrived ca. 1pm and room wasn't ready but they swapped and got us a room right away Grand apartment has microwave, kettle & kitchen sink, nice veranda w furniture Great air con Breakfast lovely, buffet changes slightly daily, eggs cooked to order & w special coniderations i.e. use butter intead oil Often requested cleaning at certain time when headed out and this was carried out promptly Great location -easily take pram down to the beach esplanade & walk for many kms. So convenient! Mini markets & supermarket in close proximity. Restaurants right on doorstep. Alley leading to beach is quite dark in the evening, but felt perfectly safe at all times One of the pools shaded by trees, great when avoiding to be in the sun all day Could be improved: baby pool was quite hot at times especially afternoons High chairs need replacing - mentioned this to staff so hopefully they are onto it already Daily cleaning was not too thorough. Wish they swept the floor a bit more. Bed was always made impeccable Grand apartment is more of a studio = 1 large room to sleep, eat, play, work, with the kitchen area (cabinets for storage, microwave, kettle, sink), and a well appointed bathroom with large shower A toaster in the room would be great. Fridge is only minibar size. Staff was happy to toast bread for me anytime. They also cut up fruit for other's that I saw which is such a lovely service

Delightful little place with a lovely pool. Unfortunately the water lost pressure twice over the three days that we were there, meaning we had no water to even wash our hands. Wifi was also constantly dropping, which most folk would find difficult. Staff were short at peak times over breakfast, and we felt very sorry for them - they could do with more support

Villa Puri Ayu has a lot going for it: It's in a pretty good location. You're just outside the busiest area of Sanur so you won't get a lot of foot traffic, but you're close enough to walk toward that area (and the mall) if you really want to (30-ish minute walk). There's quite a few shops to buy souvenirs and a supermarket nearby. Breakfast is provided and is pretty good but had the same dishes. Plenty of restaurants nearby, and my room had a functional kitchen with a medium sized fridge. The rooms are spacious, there are a few pools to swim/sunbathe. Honestly overall really good at their price point, but there are a few things that may affect your decision to stay here: The air conditioning in room was pretty weak, it can feel a bit warm/humid throughout the day in the villa, especially when the sun is out. Had some trouble sleeping because of this. Some things are a bit worn/old. It took a lot of effort to lock my door every time I leave since it doesn't line up properly without some adjusting, and my bathroom door was creaky and noisy to open. The road it is on does not lead directly to the beach, you'll need to walk around another way. Not a whole lot of service from the staff, no phone in room to call the front desk either. In summary, it's excellent value but can be pretty different from a typical hotel/resort stay.
