"Great hotel right in heart of town "

"A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."

"Horrendous experience! Host should be struck off your listings. The first thing he said to us was ‘hotel finished’, meaning we weren’t welcome. We assumed it was because we didn’t check in within the hour timeframe given, even though we rung the host to explain beforehand. Room filthy and a very cheap bed with 2 thin matteresses/long cushions on it!! "We had to wait 2 hours for the hotel to open and the restaurant was closed on the night we were there. The owner was helpful in booking a restaurant meal for us locally. Our room was a good size, quiet and comfortable bed. Breakfast was adequate French fare."
