My first major complaint was that if you want to eat at any of the actual restaurants on the property you have to make a reservation as soon as you get there and you will probably only get the lastest time possible. "I would not recommend this property. The staff was nice but nothing was organized and the excursions they offered were not reliable. The bathroom I had was disgusting. I was a solo traveller and they treated me horribly. They even left me at an excursion. No good snorkeling from the beach."

"This is my first 50/50 review of a resort. I usually stay at RIU resorts since I’m a RIU member, but because I was traveling with a minor, we couldn’t stay at the RIU in the Bahamas. The location is great only 20–25 minutes from the airport, and a taxi for two cost about $40. Check-in was pleasant, but the rooms were disappointing. "Our stay at Sandyport Beach Resort was great! First off, the room was very clean. The property was well maintained and the staff was amazing! Close proximity to beach, we could walk to Cable Beach in about two minutes and caught some beautiful sunsets. The cleaning staff made sure that our room was refreshed daily and the front desk took care of everything we needed with a smile.
