"Amazing location but that was about the only good thing. Nasty, dirty carpet and stained chair in the room. This place is old and definitely needs an update. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the bedding had stains and the pillows were THE WORST!"

"Hotel has the old world charm and is centrally located. Safe location too. The downfall was the staff. They were incredibly rude and unhelpful. Every person I came into contact with had the same attitude. They generally seem miserable to be working in hospitality."

"The room was super outdated. The TV was like from the 90s. The AC unit was non-responsive and was blowing cold air the whole night despite it being winter and being set to "heat". Even had to unplug the unit manually. The alarm clock was set to 5am for some reason and had no visible way of being turned off. Couldn't even unplug it because the cord went behind the bed. Had to put it under the bed and cover it with pillows to drown out the noise. No breakfast, paid parking, super outdated room =...

"We chose the Allegro Royal Sonesta Chicago Loop based on the room description and amenities advertised, but unfortunately our stay was disappointing. We reserved a room with a king bed, yet the room we received was very small and the bed was clearly not a standard king-size bed. When we mentioned this at checkout, the front desk simply replied that the building is over 100 years old. The age of the building has nothing to do with the bed size. "I had no issues staying at this place until we checked out and they couldn’t release my deposit money. I have reached out to them more than twice and they keep giving me different answers. It’s almost a whole month after and I still haven’t received my money. Be aware of that when u book with them."
