"Excellent hotel."

"Stayed at the Cavan Crystal Hotel for a couple of nights recently and had a mostly positive experience. The hotel itself is in a convenient location just outside Cavan town, with easy access to local amenities.  The pluses: The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-maintained, which made a big difference after a long day. The beds were comfortable, and the overall standard felt like a solid 4-star property. "Rooms were so clean, the breakfast was wonderful and the hospitality was above bar! I really Enjoyed my stay!"

"Room was large but definitely needed a facelift/upgrade (and that was considering we had already received an upgrade from the hotel!). In addition, the hotel only opened the day we arrived after renovations (not flagged in advance by either Hotels,Com or the hotel itself !!!) so limited dining and bar options were available so a bit disappointing."

"Lovely twin room with good shower in ensuite. Excellent kitchen/common room area with lots of cooking options - oven, microwave etc. Sofas for groups to relax. Parking would normally be good but on the Saturday night, the local GAA team were playing and the car park and surrounding streets were rammed. Only disappointment was the check in as no-one from the property was there. We had to phone up the international ( for us) number causing extra expense. It might help future visitors if the...

"Lovely character cottage and lovely host. We didn't get any check-in instructions but our host popped out to greet us when we arrived (late) and showed us quickly around so it was no problem. Very well equipped which made for a relaxed stay."
