"The hotel was beautiful and so was the grounds. Terrace was a nice feature in the room. After walking around Madrid, the tub was a nice feature. Comfortable beds, helpful staff. Bus stops are easily accessible from hotel."

"The standard room sold by Expedia is directly on the highway but customers are sold a tranquil “nature experience.” It is the opposite of a “nature experience”. The hotel should inform customers in advance that the rooms sold by Expedia are on the highway so they know they will hear traffic all night. The reception is as unhelpful and charged me twice. Bad experience. Also paint peeling in the bathtub."

"Lovely stay at this hotel with friendly staff and great pool. Location was excellent a few minutes walk to town centre and right next to El Escorial."

"Very clean and well equipped. Very good shower in bathroom. Aircon downstairs very good but could do with more chippings upstairs as the weather was very hot. Owner was very helpful with directions and also with suggestions for watching the total eclipse. The fourth key dies not got the door to the garden. Future travellers should be careful about getting locked outside. Overall very good place to stay. The village is nice and well situated for Madrid, Segovia, Sepulveda and Avilla."

"The hotel is bad need for a makeover. Furniture was right out of the 60's budget store. There was only one electrical outlet and it was at the entrance to the room at floor level. Bed was overly firm. To be fair the washroom looked to be renovated and was good and clean the main entrance facade was modern and inviting but as soon as you entered the lobby you realize that it was downhill from there. Way overpriced for what you get."

"Our room was clean and tidy with a fantastic view of the monastery. It gets very noisy down in the street below esp at night. The common areas and the dining room are dark and quite gloomy."

"Es un hostal tipo autoservicio, limpio, con lo mínimo necesario. El espacio es un tanto reducido, particularmente un baño abuhardillado en el que había que entrar agachado y en el que solo se puede permanecer de pie en una estrecha franja. Adecuado si lo usas solo para dormir."

"Habitación limpia, con aire acondicionado. El ventilador de extracción de olores del baño hace demasiado ruido. Localización tranquila. Camas pequeñas pero cómodas. Dos almohadas en cada cama y muebles aceptables. El wifi no lo probamos y la tele bien. Por el precio que costó no está mal pero no volvería. Al pueblo, Brunete, si volveremos"
