"This Hotel does not deserve 5 stars. Except from the Beauty of the site, le chateau and the Parc we had a very disappointing experience, considering the price :
No Help with our luggage upon check in. Very limited 'Snacking Menu' for lunch and dinner (since the gastro was fully booked). At breakfast,25 minutes wait for 2 poached eggs and gluten free bread although I had mentioned it on numerous occasions. The breakfast buffet was covered with flies. "Clean, basic room, comfortable enough. No useful amenities (no fridge, tea-making, or welcoming bottle of water).
We asked for an underground parking space 5 weeks ahead, but no space when we arrived. Helpful receptionist indicated reasonably convenient expensive local open parking though.
Well-located for what Valence has to offer - which isn't much! Good eateries though.
Limited EV charging and confusing one-way system - we ended up in a bus lane."
