"I know now where to stay every time I go to Gainesville. If you are looking for warmth and charm, and want something that resonates the south with its pretty gardens, Spanish moss, and trickling fountains, then this is it. "Hotel is pet friendly and we were put in a room right next to a dog that we could hear barking down the hallway when we checked in at 11:30pm. We immediately went back down to the front desk and requested another room. Those without animals should not be on the same floor as someone with animals."

"Just a very old property go for the rooms with full kitchens even if you dont need it. Stay away from room 20 it isnt nice at all. Bring extra bedding if needed, the ones they have are very thin. Says all rooms are renovated but the renovation was done poorly. If you ask for a refund you will only get $20 back."
