"This was our second stay on Heron Island and now that we're back home, we can't wait to come back a third time. We travel a lot but this island is one-of-a-kind! The amount of wildlife (turtles, sharks, rays, fish, dolphins, birds, ...) that you get to experience up close is absolutely special. Even if you don't dive, you're able to see all kinds of animals when snorkelling. I highly recommend to get up early and snorkel around the Jetty before breakfast. Both times, we spent 3–4 nights...

"To say this stay was phenomenal would be an understatement! We weren’t sure exactly what to expect on the island before we arrived but we were pleasantly surprised by everything. Travel was very easy on the ferry with a prearranged ticket and a person to greet us on Heron Island. We were then picked up on the beach on Heron Island, where we had a fun 20 minute boat ride to Wilson. "Good location close to highway for those not wanting to go all the way into Gladstone. Cabin was good just had some external damage to the outside wall that hadn't been repaired but did not impact the inside amenities which were comfortable and fit for purpose."

"Our stay in Gladstone was disappointing overall. The after-hours check-in process was complicated and not clearly communicated, which made arrival stressful. Unfortunately, the room itself was not well maintained, with a ripped chair and used dental floss left on the bathroom floor, which raised concerns about cleanliness. This property needs better attention to detail and housekeeping standards to meet basic guest expectations."
