"The room smelled like smoke when I entered. The shower was in need of replacement. It worked, but it felt grungy and old. The toilet was not attached properly and rocked back and forth. I was afraid it was going to leak something nasty on the floor. I stayed here because I needed a place that would allow pets. Luckily I won’t be in need of that anymore so definitely will not stay here again."

"We enjoyed everything about our stay. We had our own private patio with a hot tub and access to the shower from the hot tub. The room was very cozy with a very comfortable bed! You are able to enjoy a very nice breakfast in your room or on the outdoor area. You also have fresh baked goodies to snack on. The owners are very friendly and helped to make our stay fun and enjoyable. I would highly recommend staying there!"

"This was a great place to stop on our way through Texas. The Magnolia suite had everything we needed and was decorated in a lovely manner. Our host was very friendly and prepared a delicious and generous breakfast. The location is very convenient for shopping and restaurants- the little downtown area is very charming. Highly recommend!"

"Winnsboro Lake Retreat was very relaxing. The interior of the house was spotless. Every we needed and more was at our disposal. Beds were comfortable and the view out at the lake was great. We were a little disappointed that the dock was not usable. We were not informed before our stay about this condition and we should have been. We did not swim as the area looked unsafe to be in the water. Overall our stay was very nice."
