"We stayed for one night, with my Mother and my two kids aged 2 and 5. The owners have acquired the business over the last month or so and are making genuine efforts to upgrade the facilities and do best by their customers. Super friendly staff. Spotlessly clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Fit out is basic but they are upgrading it currently and I imagine that the next time we stay, it will be even better. Thanks for an enjoyable little getaway. We will see you next...

"Te Mahuru Tetreat is a jewel in Kaikoura’s crown. A perfect location, easy to get to and not far out of Kaikōura itself. The accommodation provides a high standard of facilities and is immaculate. It provided everything we need for our stay and the use of the hot tub and do some star gazing is phenomenal - a must if you are staying at Te Mahuru Retreat.
