"Had a good stay"

"Breakfast was a total disappointment. Most stuff tasted like old reheated food, the salami was not fresh either. Most of the staff kinda looked sad to work there. I can only think of 3 that had a bit of a smile and nice disposition, the rest…… We were in a double room with a 4 year old and an 8 months old. We arrived early and the room wasn’t ready (understandably so), one would think they were getting it ready for us checking in, but when we got to the the room, only 2 towels and no soap....

"Frühstück täglich leicht variabel, geschmacklich gut und großteils landestypisch. Sehr freundliches Hotelpersonal, sowohl im Service an der Rezeption als auch im Restaurant. Wir hatten ein Problem im Bad und es kam innerhalb von 10 min jemand und hat es behoben - abends um 21 Uhr. Neben dem Frühstück kann man auch abends an der Hotelbar Essen bestellen. Das Familienzimmer war zweckmäßig, allerdings zu klein, um den Koffer geöffnet zu lassen und es gab keinerlei Möglichkeit, den Koffer...

"No parking available. Great location. Excellent travel links on doorstep - trains, trams, buses & taxis all within 200m. Nearby coffee shops at East Croydon station & Sainsburys local across the road. "

"Stayed here for 1 night, didn’t know what to expect, but from walking into the hotel, the lady receptionist was lovely and really went above and beyond (thank you), and the hotel room was great—had everything me and my child needed. Would defo stay here again if I needed to. "

"You get what you pay for! The bedroom has seen better days and not in good condition. Sink was full of cracks which have been there a long while looking at the colour of them. Same again with the shower tray. Breakfast was very basic and the staff didn't seem or want to notice that both juice dispensers were empty and the food plates needed refreshing. If I need to stay in the area again I won't be going back."

"I am a bit disappointed to be honest. I’ve stayed here before and used to live on this road and know how noisy it can be, so I messaged ahead and asked for a room on a higher floor. I got given a room above the night exit and bins on the first floor. Cue 11pm and 2am wake up calls from staff putting out the bins and dragging furniture around every single night. I slept so badly the whole time I was there. The pub has gone through a bit of a refurb which is nice, but it does feel like it’s lost...

"Everything was good except getting tea or coffee at the Brama. The device in the room was difficult and dysfunctional. The machines for coffee and tea in the common room (Library) were similarly frustrating and out of water (one leaked). Staff were supposed to be available 24/7 by their postings, but unavailable before 8AM. Fortunately, nearby is a coffee/ tea shop which we (and others) resorted to using each day. They should buy some Kerig coffee & tea machines or get delivery from the local...
