"The staff were lovely and the location is great. Rooms (113) were good - clean but a bit on the tight side. Bathroom was good but desperately needed more hooks as no counter space (pedestal sink). It is a nice place but the stairs were a real pain so keep that in mind. We ended up on second floor after requesting the first floor. Staff helped with bags which was great. I wouldn’t have been able to carry up that many stairs. If you don’t mind stairs then this is a fun little place and good...

"Lovely decor with comfortable beds. Wonderful home cooked breakfast of waffles bacon fresh fruit and boiled egg one morning and lovely omelet with croissants and homemade jam the other morning!! Art and Martha were delightful hosts. Will return again if in the area."

"Excellent,luxury hotel adjacent to Pier 21, Seaport Market and the Waterfront Boardwalk. Room was very clean with wonderful water view. Bed was the most comfortable I have experienced! Staff welcoming and helpful. Restuarant and service was very good."

"This is a lovely place to stay. The property is very well cared for, clean, and charming. Our room was well appointed with beautiful linens, boutique body products, and the bed was so comfortable!
The hosts are friendly and full of local knowledge which they are more than happy to share. I highly recommend this property!"

"Very new or refreshed hotel in the heart of Halifax. Room was spacious and comfortable! The morning breakfast is top notch with different offerings over the 3 days we stayed. The staff were always available and quite helpful. We would certainly stay again !"

"Very cool restored hotel, rooms are quite small as an older hotel, however well maintained. Try and get an outside room overlooking the gardens as interior rooms all look at the mechanical on a lower roof."
