"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!"

"I stayed one night before the triathlon on lake Elberton. Accommodations were fine. Room was non-smoking, but there was definitely a smell possibly from another room. Rooms was clean and staff let me check out late which was great so I could shower after the event. Would stay there again but bring a fan to circulate the air in the room."

"A group of men were outside my door at 1 30 am cussing and being very loud. Sounded like a street gang. Hotels that give out housing vouchers I am sad to say are the worst places to stay, there is a reason those people needed a voucher. Stay elsewhere."

"It would be nice if real people left real reviews. This property is located in a small town with under 5 hotel businesses. I traveled 14 hours for a family members funeral and was very disappointed upon arrival to this facility. It was infested with bugs. The clerk at the desk kept saying I can give you another room as if bugs don't travel. I asked the desk clerk to cancel my reservation and he refused. I did not stay here and was charged for the reservation even after trying to cancel the...
